1 Feed brassicas

Cabbages, Brussels sprouts, cauliflowers and other brassicas will all benefit by being fed with a nitrogen-rich fertiliser, such as pelleted chicken manure.

2 Air greenhouses

As the sun begins to shine more frequently, be sure to open your greenhouse vents on warmer days to prevent a build-up of humidity.

3 Tidy alpines

Remove dead or damaged foliage from alpines as they begin to flower. Keep the healthy foliage off damp soil by mulching with grit.
