Obese people don’t live as long

True. A study of over 300,000 people in 2018 has shown that being obese* or overweight is linked to a significan­tly increased risk for cardiovasc­ular disease. Being obese is associated with shorter longevity. Those who were overweight had similar longevity as healthywei­ght people but they had a greater proportion of their life lived with heart and vessel disease.
