4 fixes for... tired eyes
A WARM FLANNEL
Applying damp heat to the area adds moisture, eases discomfort, increases blood
flow and relaxes muscle spasms. Eye drops can help.
GET LIGHTING RIGHT
Watch TV in soft lighting. Read with the light behind you, pointed toward the page. When
looking at a digital screen, adjust brightness and contrast.
TRY ‘PALMING’
Cup the palms of your hands
over closed eyes, without pressure, for 5-10 minutes, to relax your eyes. Blink 15 times
a minute while doing this.
BE DIGITAL SMART
Ensure your screen is at arm’s length, slightly below eye level. Adjust the text size. Try anti-blue light glasses, and take regular breaks.
