Move it for a healthy heart

Staying active is crucial for good health – no matter how old you are. Just 20 minutes exercise a day in your 70s can ward off heart disease, according to research at Italy’s University of Padua. The study followed 3,000 over-65s for 30 years and found that those exercising a little but regularly had significan­tly lower rates of cardiovasc­ular disease, such as heart failure and stroke.
