Be friendly to YOUR FEET
Not looking forward to getting them out this spring? Don’t panic. Here are seven fast fixes to get them in step
Moisturise, moisturise, moisturise
It’s one of the best things you can do for the skin on your feet, so try to do it daily. ‘If you can’t reach your feet, squirt cream onto a tray or a plastic bag on the floor, rub your feet in this, and then rub them together,’ advises Emma McConnachie, spokesperson for the Royal College of Podiatry. ‘Don’t moisturise between your toes – it can disrupt the hydration balance of the skin there and lead to painful splits. For very dry skin, or cracked heels, use a cream containing the active ingredient urea. A callus, caused by a buildup of dead skin, can’t be fixed by moisturiser alone, and may become painful. Gently buff the area with a foot file or pumice stone, or have the callus removed by a registered podiatrist.’
Flexitol’s Moisurising Foot Cream, Heel Balm, Intense Overnight Foot Cream and
Hard Skin & Callus Balm are all approved by the Royal College of Podiatry, and have passed its rigorous testing process.
