6pm Rethink dinner
Having your evening meal at 6pm can help you stay slim as well as reducing your risk of heart disease. A study found that women who ate most of their calories later than this were more likely to have high blood pressure and be overweight. An earlier dinner may also improve the quality of your sleep, says nutritionist Jenna Hope (jennahopenutrition.com). ‘Digestion raises core body temperature, but for sleep your temperature is required to drop, so digesting a big meal too late impairs your ability to drop off,’ she says.
