Bath’s green corridor
In a win for wellbeing and for wildlife, the first of 20 new ‘green corridors’ across the UK will link the historic city centre of Bath to the surrounding countryside through interconnected parks, woodlands and towpaths. It’s hoped the scenic pathway will encourage people to enjoy time spent in nature.
The National Trust has acquired 99 acres of Bathampton meadows for the project, with plans to create foraging habitats for greater horseshoe bats, wetlands for wading birds, and wildflowers for vital pollinators. Visit nationaltrust.org.uk to find out more.
