Ways to help
✢ Weight: If you’re overweight or obese, even losing just a small amount may improve your apnoea or stop it.
✢ Bedtime: Try taping a bean bag to the back of your sleepwear, or use a special pillow to keep you on your side.
✢ Lifestyle: Don’t smoke or drink much alcohol, especially shortly before bedtime. Don’t use sleeping pills, unless your doctor recommends them, as they often worsen sleep apnoea.
