Cliveden Book Festival

Buckinghamshire, 15-16 October

-

It may be relatively new to the book festival circuit, but with such inspiring surroundings, it’s no wonder that the Cliveden Book Festival has already made its mark. The impressive mansion, first built in the 1660s, has many stories of its own. It sits amid 400 acres of greenery, with gardens stretching down to the River Thames. It was the subject of attention in 2018, when Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, stayed there the night before her wedding.

With a varied programme celebrating literature, politics and history from renowned writers and respected opinion-makers, everyone who visits comes away having learnt something interesting.

✣ What to expect Last year saw the likes of Kate Mosse, Lionel Shriver and David Baddiel (pictured) speak. The 2022 line-up is due to be announced in the summer.
