4 fixes for... a wasp sting

-

WASH

Use warm soap and water to remove any bacteria that the wasp might have carried, and wash off any venom

left at the sting area.

COOL

Wrap thin cloth around an ice/cold pack and apply for 30-60 minutes, at intervals of 10 minutes on and off, to help

reduce swelling and pain.

CREAMS

Antihistamine cream, corticosteroid or calamine will relieve itchiness. If you’ve been

stung in the mouth, nose or throat, seek medical attention.

TABLETS

Antihistamine tablets, such as cetirizine, and ibuprofen, will help lessen pain and reduce swelling

at the sting site.
