How do I enjoy my success?

-

QI grew up in a very poor family and we were always short of clothes and food. I was determined that my adult life would be different. I’ve always worked and I married a man who has a good job. We’re very comfortable, although not wealthy, but I know we have enough. And yet, I don’t feel as though we do. I’m always scrimping and saving, and never feel able to enjoy what we do have. It makes my husband sad and I don’t think it’s good for me.

AGiven your childhood experience, it’s understandable you feel this way. That said, it was a long time ago. Sometimes we can’t shake off old memories, and allow them to intrude into our present life. I think you would really benefit from some therapy that would help you to put this into the past filing cabinet and enjoy how well you’re doing today. Take a look at counselling-directory.org.uk
