Sea of poppies

In 2014, an art installation was created in the moat of the Tower of London to mark 100 years since the start of World War One. Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red featured a ceramic poppy for every British or colonial serviceman killed, and the Queen insisted on seeing it for herself. She has taken part in memorial events for the fallen all her life.
