Flying high

When the RAF celebrated its 100th birthday in 2018, it treated the Queen and the Royal Family, who watched it from Buckingham Palace’s balcony, to an astonishing sight. More than 100 aircraft, from World War Two Spitfires to stealth fighter jets, flew over the Palace, spelling out the number 100 in the sky.
