Silver lady

The Queen will become the first monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee. But in 1977, she toured Britain to mark 25 years on the throne. On 6 June, Her Majesty lit a beacon at Windsor to spark a chain of bonfires that would light up the British Isles. People lined The Mall and parties were held the length of the land.
