DIABETES AND ACTIVITY
Physical activity improves health, especially for people with diabetes, according to a Dutch study. Among 2,000 adults aged 40-75, links between biomarkers of endothelial dysfunction [a non-obstructive coronary artery disease] and physical activity were stronger in those with prediabetes and type 2 diabetes. Another study from South Korea of 130,000 people with previously undiagnosed type 2 diabetes over five years, shows regular exercise is associated with a 20% lower risk of dementia.
