Healthy candy

-

It’s very interesting how ‘healthy candy’, also known today as protein balls, bars, sticks etc has become so popular. As children we would have ‘healthy candy’ in our packed lunches, for example rye bread with fig sticks on top. Back then it would be a disappointment to be served healthy candy for pudding, but today my children, friends and family have a newfound love for these nutritious and delicious bites, great for any time of day. I recall so clearly seeing these bites in bakeries or health food shops, and never realised how easy and fun they are to make. They have existed with such popularity in Denmark for as long as I can remember, and they are so good that cravings for artificial sugary confections will disappear.
