The Fishtail

-

Turn heads with the fishtail, thanks to Dafni’s Creative Director Steve Rowbottom.

Method

Step 1. Clean and condition hair using a smoothing shampoo to ensure hair is pliable and controllable.

Step 2. Take a horizontal section from ear to ear, using thumbs, to ensure the remaining hair is clipped out of the way. Spray hairspray for hold.

Step 3. Using the Dafni Go, take horizontal sections of hair, ensuring the brush is placed close to the roots from underneath. Keeping tension at the ends, place the Dafni Go over the top of the hair, drawing hair inwards, to create movement towards the ends.

Step 4. Take a two-inch section through the top from the hairline to the back of the crown and plait the hair from the front to the back in a fish-braid style. Once secured, pull areas of the braid out to loosen. Finish with hairspray.

Top tip: Apply the same technique as you would if you were using a round brush to create movement.
