The products on facialist Charlotte Connoley’s shelf
A typical day: I start work at 10am and I’ll grab some muesli and a ginger shot en route. Usually I’ll work till 8pm, seeing no more than six clients per day.
Skincare philosophy: Eating well is key to a great complexion.
What you put into your system shows up on your skin. Skincare non-negotiables: Proper cleansing, massaging with facial oil and using a high daily SPF.
Personal skincare concern: When I was modelling professionally, I suffered with bad skin, which made me feel terrible. I do still have the odd breakout.
1 | Renew Life Ultimate Flora 50 Billion, £41.99
I start every day with these supplements. They’re probiotics, so are full of friendly live bacteria – great for boosting the immune system.
I’m a big believer in promoting gut health, so I’ll follow these with a lemon and ginger tea. 2 | Burt’s Bees Cleansing Oil With Coconut & Argan Oils, £16.99 I double-cleanse both morning and night. The initial cleanse is with this natural cleansing oil, which dissolves dirt, grime and make-up. Then I follow up with Burt’s Bees Intense Hydration Cream Cleanser to make sure the oil is thoroughly washed off.
3 | Coola Sport Face Classic Sunscreen SPF50, £30
This is perfect under make-up. It provides a great base for you to build on while protecting against sun damage – and it doesn’t clog your pores. It replenishes moisture and evens out skintone, but it’s super light and refreshing so is good for sensitive skin. 4 | Dr Dennis Gross Ferulic + Retinol Wrinkle Recovery Overnight Serum, £88 A little hero! This serum is great for when your skin needs a bit of oomph, aiding the natural healing process while you sleep to help with loss of elasticity. I use it after cleansing before bed for an extra boost and wake up to fresher, brighter, tighter skin. 5 | Odacité Crystal Contour Gua Sha Rose Quartz Beauty Tool, £39 Massaging your skin at bedtime is so worthwhile. I’ll work my serum and oil into my face for five to 10 minutes with a Gua Sha massage crystal – it gets the blood flowing and releases any puffiness and stress from the facial muscles.
6 | Pai Rosehip Bioregenerate Oil, £24
This supercharged oil smells incredible and is perfect if you have sensitive skin. I apply it last thing at night to improve firmness and elasticity. It’s also jam-packed with omegas, which are great for dry patches, scars and sun damage.
