A new study* has found that consuming more cruciferou­s veg, such as broccoli and Brussels sprouts, is linked with lower levels of blood vessel disease in women in their seventies. Scientists think it could be down to their high levels of vitamin K, which might help inhibit calcificat­ion (accumulati­on of mineral deposits) in blood vessels. Either way, make room.
