A typical day: My day starts at 6am with some meditation, prayer and reading, which orients me for the day ahead. Next, I’ll do an Instagram workout by Ciara London. I discovered her during lockdown – her daily exercise routines make me feel stronger and I love being part of her online community. For breakfast, I enjoy yoghurt and fruit. I love the ceremony of eating as I think of it as pouring love and nourishment into my body. Work kicks off around 9am. I like to group my meetings so that I have days when I can get my head down without any distractions. It’s hectic but exciting at the moment because we’ve launched Meet Carra, a platform that offers expert advice and scientifically backed product recommendations tailored to individual hair textures. After work, I switch off by cooking and catching up with my friends and family. Sometimes I end up working late, so I’ll rustle up Indomie noodles (any Nigerian will tell you about this amazing Indonesian import). I’m in bed by midnight, but I’m trying to bring this forward to 10pm so I get a full eight hours of sleep.

Skincare philosophy: Keep it simple. You don’t need lots of skincare products to achieve healthy skin, nor do you need lots of make-up to look beautiful.

Skincare non-negotiable: My nightly massage routine. After cleansing, I gently buff facial oils on to my skin. I start at my forehead and work down.

Main skincare concern: Dry skin. I usually apply hyaluronic acid for moisture retention before layering on thick creams or oils, or else my skin still feels thirsty. I also make sure I drink lots of water throughout the day.
