Bone broths may still be trending, but sports dietitian Renee Mcgregor warns that if you’re buying the tennera-pop pouches, you won’t reap much of the fabled protein and collagen that homemade stock is famed for. Not got time on your Sunday to boil a chicken carcass? You might as well reach for the Oxo cubes. ‘Stock is the easiest way to turn mismatched ingredient­s into a nutritious meal,’ Mcgregor explains. Oh, and chicken or beef varieties have no nutritiona­l benefit over the veggie ones, FYI.
