DIANNE’S MUST-DOS

The health and mindset habits that keep our cover star feeling positive and energised

FUEL

My go-to lunch is a wrap or sandwich with lots of salad and beans in. I tried the whole vegan thing, but I found I needed to have eggs and a bit of dairy from time to time – doing so is not a sin for me. With dinner, I’ll prepare a big portion of vegetables with some protein.

CREATE

I love baking and having a slice of that freshly baked cake or muffin, while it’s still hot, with a cup of tea. I’m not an amazing baker – it’s very hit and miss with me – but I’ve loved it since I was a little girl. Going on Bake

Off would be my dream!

TREAT

I used to pick my spots, so have quite a lot of scarring – I was basically ruining my own skin – but my dermatologist has really sorted me out. She recommended the Obagi range, which I love. I cleanse morning and night, and apply the brand’s vitamin C cream and SPF.

NOURISH

I go to Larry King for my hair cut, extensions and colour. When I can’t get there, I colour it myself and like to change the red up all the time. The key thing for maintaining it is to have a good shampoo and conditioner.

PRESERVE

I’ve always been honest since I started Youtube – what you see is what you get. But Joe and I don’t show everything; we don’t want people to know everything. I’m so grateful for the support of my fans, but [when letting thousands of subscribers into your life] you need to have boundaries.

REFLECT

I always look for the positive in the negative. Negative feedback [from the Strictly judges] can be a downer. But if they’ve said something bad about the technique, I say: let’s work hard on improving that and, if you get a nice comment the following week, that really switches things around.
