Avocado and sardine toast
Don’t skimp on standards when it comes to breakfast; top your avocado with oil-packed sardines. This is a five-minute meal that provides protein, healthy fats and vitamin B12
INGREDIENTS
1 small avocado, halved • 2 thick slices of sourdough bread, toasted • 1 lemon • ½ tin sardines, drained and halved • red pepper or chilli flakes • flat-leaf parsley
METHOD
1 | Scoop the avocado out and mash it on toast. Zest the lemon over, then sprinkle with a pinch of salt. Top with the sardines, red pepper or chilli flakes and parsley.
