Flocks of ring-necked para­keets have be­come a fa­mil­iar sight in ur­ban Lon­don, all de­scended from cap­tive birds that es­caped in the 1970s. These noisy birds have made their home on the com­mon too, chat­ter­ing as they feed on seeds, fruit and nuts.
