Newborn giant pandas are 800-times smaller than their mothers and take several months to reach peak cuteness
Female pandas are fertile for just three days each spring. If they manage to mate in that tiny window, they give birth to one or two cubs after three to four months. Newborns are pink and blind and weigh just 100 grams (3.5 ounces). Over the next few months they develop rapidly and grow their characteristic patterned fur.
