Premier League player arrested
An unnamed Premier League footballer has been arrested on suspicion of child sex offences. Greater Manchester Police confirmed that they had arrested a 31-year-old, while Everton have suspended a first-team player pending a police investigation. They declined to mention whether it was the same man, saying they “would support the authorities with their inquiries”.
