Cornel DRAGUSIN
(1926-2021)
In an extraordinary 40-year coaching career, Dragusin established himself as a quietly influential figure in Romanian football. After a series of spells managing and coaching both Steaua and Progresul Bucharest, he was recruited by the Romanian Football Federation to work with the senior team and the Under-23s, and went to the 1990 World Cup as assistant manager, before becoming director of the country’s coaching school until 2002. Also managed Iraq and Syria in Asia.
