US-based Evolved Publishing publishes suspense/thriller, mystery/crime/ detective, fantasy and science fiction, dystopian and post-apocalyptic fiction, literary and women’s fiction. They concentrate on ebooks, POD (Print-onDemand) books, and audiobooks. They are firmly committed to the digital future believing that the reading market ‘is moving towards the electronic environment in a big way’.

Open now to submissions, they want aspiring authors, or disappointed selfpublished authors, and they like established authors who seek a different path for their next project. Submit book-length works of fiction and non-fiction. Non-fiction must be compelling and full of general interest to a wide market. Check out the list of wants and do nots at the website.

Series are welcomed even if the first part is the only completed part. Previously selfpublished works might be accepted; query first. Put Book enquiry, title in the subject line. Include a doc attachment (no pdf, epub, or mobi files) and at least the first three chapters of the book, or the full manuscript. In the body of the email include a friendly bio, and links to various online activities: website/blog, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Goodreads, LinkedIn, etc.

Response time is ‘within six to eight weeks’ but sometimes longer. Payment is under contract, ‘standard contract terms which apply to most projects, but we negotiate each project contract on its own merits’ with ‘a royalty rate ranging from 62% to as much as 81% of retailer royalties paid’.
