Writing Magazine

A team effort with this publisher

- Jenny Roche

Welcoming unsolicited proposals for non-fiction and children’s books Gill Books work closely with new and more experienced writers to firstly discuss their project its viability and the develop of the manuscript. Their collaborative team will then co-ordinate and optimise the processes of production, editorial, marketing, sale and distribution.

The publisher is based in Dublin and in general has a focus on books of Irish interest. In addition to children’s books this covers a wide variety of topics, including biography, food and drink, history, hobbies and craft, humour, information & reference, lifestyle, mind, body, spirit, nature, parenting, politics and current affairs, sport and true crime.

If you think this is the publisher for your book submit two sample chapters, a contents table or chapter outline and a descriptive outline or synopsis of a maximum 500 words which highlights the unique feature of your book.

Include also your phone and email details and a brief biography mentioning your qualifications for writing the book and the connection to your potential audience.

Submissions will be accepted by email or post. Enclose a SAE if using the latter and would like your work returned.
