Now that Rare Software is back on form thanks to Sea Of Thieves, surely it’s time for the legendary developer to resurrect the mighty Viva Piñata? The 2006 Xbox 360 exclusive, and its 2008 sequel Trouble In Paradise, didn’t just look achingly gorgeous: they were innovative and original, and thoroughly kid-friendly. With the Xbox One’s under-the-bonnet grunt, their simulator systems (in which you bred piñata-animals and tended a garden, often with morbid results) could reach new heights of sophistication, and a new version could surely learn from Minecraft’s success? Come on, Microsoft, get Rare on the case, and get them on the case swiftly.
