Ryse: Son Of Rome
Format Xbox one | Release 2013 Five years on from its release, Crytek’s Roman slasher still remains one of Xbox One’s prettiest titles. Ryse is another landmark technical achievement for Xbox that switched consoles midway through development. It was set to be a 360 first-person brawler that required Kinect, but Crytek decided the experience would be too tiring for players. Though the final product is shallow, Marius Titus’ bloody brawls look incredible. AMD’s Jaguar APU, which lies at the core of the standard XO, gets a thorough workout from CryEngine, while the game’s mo-cap is worthy of the silver screen.
