The games we want the most
It’s all about the supernatural and parallel universes in this month’s preview section, starting with the highly anticipated Control [p26]. Remedy is keeping a lot of cards close to its chest but we got to sit down with the game’s director and managed to squeeze some details out about this strange and mysterious title. Next up we’ve got Kingdom Hearts III [p28]. Okay, we know it seems like we’ve been talking about it forever but we can finally see those loveable Disney characters peeking over the horizon. With a whole bunch of new folk from the various Pixar films, this might just be the most exciting Kingdom
Hearts game yet. We also shed some light on new gameplay details, but be warned, you’ll need to get your swot on if you hope to get up to speed with the ongoing storyline. Next we’re moving more into the unpleasant with The Sinking City [p30]. Like buses, you wait for one and two arrive at once, and this is the second HP Lovecraft-inspired game we’ve seen this year. Despite leaning quite heavily into the action it’s still a supernatural detective game. We go into even darker territory as we step into an alternate universe for the survival horror Close To The Sun [p34]. In this world Nikola Tesla is a huge success and has built a massive ship to carry out all his strange experiments. Something was bound to go wrong, right?
