Comedy is pretty much built into couch co-op, regardless of the type of game you actually end up playing together, because things will go wrong and the natural response is to laugh. Or to curse your teammate beneath your breath. But mostly laugh. Human:
FallFlat doubles down on this by giving players feet of clay – literally. You each play a flailing plasticine toddler in a sandbox of oversized toys, with the ragdoll physics dialled all the way to ‘Chuckle Brothers’. The game’s controls are intentionally clumsy, making it difficult to complete simple tasks like climbing a fence but easy to accidentally cling onto a teammate as you tumble over the edge of a level. And then cursing. Or, hopefully, laughing.
