Routers
MAll prices are the current RRP and include VAT arina Wi-Fi is notoriously poor and over-subscribed, so if you want a good connection and a half-decent bandwidth (capacity to send large amounts of data), you’ll need to find a way to improve on it.
You can use a high-gain (booster) antenna, but it won’t necessarily improve the bandwidth. If it’s flaky in the first place, no clever antenna is going to help. It just means you’re more likely to stay connected than someone else who’s hanging on by a thread on the distant visitors’ pontoon.
Though a booster will make the best out of a poor Wi-Fi signal, they’re no use when the whole family want to connect their phones or tablets simultaneously. Instead, you’ll need a router to lock onto the hotspot and retransmit the connection locally.
