Rigid fabric awning for summer

With summer on the way, it’s only a matter of time until we start seeking shade. While it’s possible to cobble together an awning, unless you have supports in each corner it all starts feeling too much like camping as the awning turns into a tent, robbing you of a view in the process. The SWI-TEC FixTop SunShade gets around this problem by using a central rigid pole and four other supporting poles to keep the rectangular shade in shape. It’s available in two sizes (1.9m x 2.3m or 2.5m x 3m), and in two colours, blue or white.

The shade can either be supported over the boom and secured with mounting straps (supplied) or used like an umbrella with the optional telescopic support pole. It’s made from UV-resistant Multitex fabric to withstand the summer sun (or summer rain) and it folds down into a compact bag for easy stowage aboard small boats.
