Compact chartplotter and sonar

Humminbird’s Helix 7 Series comprises six models, said to ‘meet the individual needs of anglers and boaters’. The most interesting for our purposes (unless you’d like a side/down imaging fishfinder) is the GPS Plotter, which comes with a base map and is compatible with Navionics Gold.

All models in the range feature Humminbird’s X-Press menu, which groups similar things together in one list. The 800 x 480 7-inch 256-color TFT display is clear, bright and has a good viewing angle, too.

The units can be tilt-mounted on a bracket or flush mounted. The GPS Plotter has a Micro SD card slot for use with advanced cartography or to save screenshots, sonar recordings or waypoints.
