The owner

Our test boat, First Dawn Treader, is owned by Stephen and Vanessa Jervis. Stephen (54) runs a property maintenance business and bought her three years ago as their first boat.

They love the roomy accommodation, especially the aft cabin, and often sailing single-handed, Stephen likes the fact that everything falls easily to hand at the helm.

So far they have sailed the South Coast of the UK, the Channel Islands and northern France. This year they plan to cross the Bay of Biscay and spend three weeks visiting the north of Spain.
