Sailplan
The Seahawk’s masthead rig incorporates a deck-stepped, singlespreader Seldén mast, boom and rigid kicker, supported by aft lowers and a baby stay. Cap shrouds run from the masthead down to separate chainplates, attached to substantial fillets bonded into the hull. A Profurl genoa furler was standard along with a deck sweeping, 140% genoa. Although slab mainsail reefing was standard, First Dawn Treader has an early version of Selden’s in-mast reefing system.
