At the helm

With two wheels, the helm just has to pick which side they prefer. Both wheels have instrument pods, large enough for multifunction displays or a cluster of regular instruments. Seating for the helm is only outboard but the helm can sit forward, astride or aft of the wheel and still steer in comfort. The Jefa steering is precise, smooth and responsive. Forward of the helms, and within reach, are the winches for the German mainsheet system. Lewmar 40ST Race winches are standard but our test boat had both the mainsheet and genoa winches upgraded to Lewmar 50 ST Race winches.
