New Hugo Boss to be built in UK
Carrington Boats will build the new multimillion-pound Hugo Boss IMOCA 60 for Alex Thomson. The racing yacht, which will campaign in the 2020-21 Vendée Globe, will be built at the yard’s new facility in Hythe, Hampshire.
Professional yachtsman and yacht builder Jason Carrington will oversee the build. His team will work with the design and technical staff at Alex Thomson Racing and naval architectural firm VPLP.
Construction of the new Hugo Boss is expected to begin shortly ahead of the racing yacht’s scheduled unveiling in June 2019.
