MUSTO DIPPED GRIP
Designed for short-term use by dinghy sailors, these Musto gloves certainly had a strong grip. They were runner-up in our coefficient of friction test thanks to the rubber-dipped fingers and palm. The breathable, stretchable mesh fabric on the back of the hands and the cuff also made them comfortable in warm weather, although that came at a cost – little padding. Like the Gill Grip, the fingers can be cut without the risk of fraying. They also have thinner fabric than the Gill Grip which meant the gloves performed better in the dexterity test, although they still had to be taken off to operate a touchscreen. Three pairs for £15 made it our clear budget winner.
