A neat addition to Garmin’s range of chartplotter accessories is its wireless marine camera. While it communicates with the GPSMAP 8400/8600, GPSMAP 7400/7600 series as well as the GPSMAP 10x2/12x2 and GPSMAP 7x2/9x2 series wirelessly, it still has to be hardwired for power.

The small weatherproof camera streams live 720p HD video to a compatible Garmin chartplotter, which can then be shared over a Garmin network. So, if you’re at the chart table below you can monitor what’s happening on deck, for example.
