Are you up to the Castles and Islands Challenge?
If running around castles and sailing to islands off Northumberland sounds like your cup of tea then you are being encouraged to sign up for this year’s Castles and Islands Challenge.
Hosted by Coquet Yacht Club, the event is open to monohulls and multihulls. Starting form Alnwick Castle, the teams have just 24 hours to run to Warkworth, Dunstanburgh, Bamburgh, and Lindisfarne Castles, as well as sail to Newton Haven, Seahouses Harbour, Holy Island and around Coquet Island clockwise. The passage should also include sailing through both Inner Sound and Staple Sound.
