The Northwest Venturers Yacht Club, based in Anglesey, North Wales is celebrating its 60th anniversary year.
Members enjoy regular cruises in company to anchorages around Anglesey, plus extended rallies further afield.
Commodore Andy Stevenson said: ‘We are a friendly, family-based yacht club, more likely to find ourselves at secluded anchorages having a barbecue on the beach than racing, although we do hold some informal races, usually on route to a destination.’
The club, which recently became a limited company, boasts a refurbished galley area, toilets and showers meaning NWVYC ‘probably has the best facilities of any yacht club in the area.’ nwvyc.org.uk
