Vital sailing sessions

-

Young people living through and beyond cancer can soon get on the water with the Ellen Macarthur Cancer Trust.

Usually, eight to 24-year-olds sailing with the Trust for the first time would go on a four-day sailing trip on a 45ft yacht from its bases in Cowes, Isle of Wight, or Largs, Scotland. This summer, regional day sails will take place in Plymouth, Belfast, Portsmouth, the North West and North East, plus traditional sailing aboard the 70ft Essex Smack, on the east coast.

Youngsters who have sailed with the Trust before can enjoy five-day yacht cruises from Cowes and Largs as well as on the Ocean Youth Trust South’s 98ft ketch, and participate in the Round the Island Race on 3 July, and the ASTO Small Ships Race in October.
