Record Wally turnout

The Wally class had a record entry of 16 yachts at St Tropez – 15 of which were competing in their own fleet. Wally makes St Tropez its end of season finale every September and this year’s entry included the brand new Wallycento Galateia, reigning Les Voiles champion Magic Blue, and Dr Thomas Bscher’s extended former Cento Open Season.

The fleet started on one single – mortifyingly valuable – line. The most close-fought competition was between Magic Blue and Open Season. Both got their Les Voiles off to solid starts, but on Day 3 Open Season picked up a 14th
