Going deeper

Five Deeps is the name of an incredible new expedition that began in December to explore the deepest points of the five oceans. The project aims to send a two-person submersible further and deeper than any in history to collect core samples, film wildlife and uncover bathymetric data in places never before mapped. The first dive scheduled for middecember to the Atlantic’s Puerto Rico Trench was the world’s second deepest at 8,648m.
