Historically a key problem with many battery monitors has been the need to periodically recalibrate the device to reflect the decline of a battery bank’s capacity as it ages. This Balmar SG200 takes care of that process automatically in just two charge/ discharge cycles. It can therefore calculate the real-life capacity of your battery banks and display this as State of Health, a percentage of the batteries’ design capacity. The unit can show a wide range of parameters and there is an interface via a smartphone app.
