DESTINATION FINDER APP
Slovenia-based Sentinel Marine has developed a free app aimed at bareboat charterers that automates recommendation of destinations based on current location, weather conditions and points of interest. The aim is to simplify sailing in unfamiliar waters, while allowing users to explore like a local. “It’s like a Tripadvisor for the sea, only it adapts its recommendations in real-time based on weather conditions,” says Sentinel’s chief technology officer, Pedro Kostelec. Launching first in Croatia, other areas will follow.
