It’s increasingly difficult to ignore the growing number of builders of performance sailing yachts that have added a motorboat to their range. X-yachts has just joined the likes of Pogo and RS in producing an innovative, well designed and engineered motorboat that’s clearly intended to appeal to owners with a sailing background.

The easily driven hull form incorporates what the yard calls ‘Petestep’ deflectors. These eliminate horizontal flat surfaces for lower wave noise, reduce frictional resistance by up to 35%, and dampen landings when falling off a wave, says the Danish yard.

The boat is offered with a choice of Yanmar 8LV series inboard diesels from 320-370hp. A second power model is planned for September 2021 and a third in January 2023.
